The program
Children learn a language by using it.
AIC's approach prioritizes meaningful communication — not worksheets, not memorization alone. Every session is built around real language in real use.
Our approach
Language through living it.
At AIC, Spanish is not a subject to be studied — it is the environment children step into. From the first moment of class, everything happens in Spanish: greetings, stories, songs, games, and conversations. Children absorb the language the same way they learned their first one: through context, repetition, and genuine engagement — not through drills or translation.
Conversation
Guided dialogue and open-ended questions give children real practice thinking and responding in Spanish.
Games
Language games make practice feel like play — building vocabulary and fluency without pressure.
Music
Traditional and contemporary Spanish-language songs reinforce rhythm, pronunciation, and vocabulary in ways that stick.
Storytelling
Rich stories and read-alouds build vocabulary in context and spark imagination.
Reading
Age-appropriate Spanish texts develop literacy alongside spoken fluency.
Art
Creative projects connect language to visual expression and cultural traditions.
Movement
Songs with movement, games, and physical activities keep young learners engaged and energized.
Cultural traditions
Celebrations, customs, and practices from across Latin America bring the language to life.
Geography
Children explore the Spanish-speaking world — its countries, landscapes, and people.
Food
Culinary traditions open conversations about family, culture, and identity.
Collaborative projects
Group work builds communication skills and community — children learn from and with each other.
Idioma + Cultura
Language and culture belong together.
At Academia de Idioma y Cultura, children don't just learn how to say words in Spanish. They discover the people, traditions, stories, music, art, geography, and experiences that give those words meaning.
Our goal is to help children develop a lasting relationship with Spanish and the diverse cultures of Latin America.
"Every story is a door into a new world."
Para familias latinas
Que el español siga siendo parte de su historia.
Nuestro programa busca ayudar a los niños a desarrollar confianza al hablar español, ampliar su vocabulario y fortalecer su conexión con la cultura y las tradiciones de sus familias.
For children who already hear or speak Spanish at home, AIC is a place to deepen what they already carry. Our program helps heritage speakers strengthen vocabulary, build reading skills, grow conversational confidence, and deepen their connection to the cultures of their families — in a space where their language is celebrated, not just studied.
- Strengthen vocabulary and grammar in a supportive immersive setting
- Build confidence speaking Spanish with peers and instructors
- Develop Spanish reading and literacy skills
- Deepen cultural knowledge and pride in their heritage
- Take on natural leadership roles that reinforce what they know
